Golden Gate Labrador Retriever Rescue: This wonderful organization has been placing Labs in loving
homes since 1986.
Golden Gate Labrador Retriever Club (GGLRC): Established in 1968 and located in the San Francisco Bay
Area, the GGLRC is a successful, hard-working club placing special emphasis on enjoying the Labrador
Retriever to its fullest.
ARF (Tony La Russa's Animal Rescue Foundation): Founded in 1991, ARF's mission is to ensure the
humane treatment of companion animals and to bring people and animals together to enrich each
other's lives.
Pets Are Wonderful Support (PAWS): This volunteer-based organization helps improve the quality of life
for persons with AIDS and other disabling illnesses by offering the emotional and practical support to
keep the love and companionship of their pets, and by providing information on the benefits and risks of
animal companionship.
Pets In Need: A private no-kill adoption shelter, Pets In Need brings a loving, healthy home within paw's
reach of every adoptable dog and cat in our community.
Furry Friends: Members of Furry Friends visit people who live in various kinds of institutions, for example,
nursing homes, facilities for disabled or seriously ill children, hospital rehabilitation wards, the Children's
Shelter, and psychiatric facilities in Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties, California. Incidentally, Smiley
has been a member and participant of Furry Friends for several years.
West Valley Dog Training Club: This nonprofit organization has been offering top-notch obedience
training since 1956. Thanks to the fine folks at the West Valley Dog Training Club, Smiley was able to
obtain his Canine Good Citizen and Companion Dog certificates.
