The National Labrador Retriever Club (NLRC): The NLRC was organized in 1996 with the idea of creating a
national club that would preserve and promote the Labrador Retriever. It is dedicated to the protection
and betterment of the breed, to encourage education of the general public who may want to add a
Labrador to their family and to meet a social responsibility to it's members, the general public, and the
Labrador world in particular.

American Kennel Club: The AKC advances the study, breeding, exhibiting, running, and maintenance of
purebred dogs. Among its many activities, this fine organization records the parentage of over one million
dogs annually.

Orthopedic Foundation for Animals: Founded in 1960s, this not-for-profit organization is dedicated to the
improved health and well-being of companion animals, in particular, concerning orthopedic and genetic
diseases of animals.

Morris Animal Foundation: This wonderful nonprofit foundation's mission is to fund humane veterinary
studies in order to improve the health and well-being of companion animals
and wildlife. Since awarding its first grant in 1950, the Morris Animal Foundation continues to advance
veterinary knowledge, animal care, and the quality of life for animals everywhere.

Doris Day Animal Foundation: Dedicated to promoting increased protection for animals, the Doris Day
Animal Foundation accomplishes its mission primarily through educational programs that empower others
to act on behalf of animals.

Home for Life: Organized to establish a network of sanctuaries across the country for the lifetime care
and sheltering of dogs and cats who, while still able to lead a quality life, are unable to find homes due to
old age, chronic illness, handicaps, temperament issues, or other factors.
